Five Fabric Favourites

A round up of five fabrics we're absolutely loving right now, each handpicked to elevate the style and comfort of our Wink bedheads.

1. Luxe Boucle

The ever popular boucle has been well loved in it's light and creamy tones for a few years now - but recently it's been given a glow up and is now increasingly offered in some very delicious colours indeed.

Our Luxe Boucle is wonderfully tactile, lush and wool rich. The new colours span chocolate, aquamarine, rust and deep martini green, but the one I'm drawn to is Powder, a fabulous blush colour (pictured below) - dreamy indeed!

2. Textured

This elegant textured fabric oozes sophistication. The weave process creates a heavily textured surface that is wonderfully tactile, and has a subtle sheen to it. (Pictured: Textured, colour Clay).

We recently made a bedhead for a customer in our Bramble style with antique bronze studs (pictured below in our workshop) and it was a winning combination! 

3. Eco Textured 

As you know, at Wink we are all about sustainability and this beauty is right on brand for us. Made from a sustainable blend of recycled polyester, organic cotton and linen it walks the talk, plus it gains further bonus points for having inherent permanent stain resistance.

Stylistically, the slubby irregular weave creates tactile interest even though it counts as a plain, and it comes in a lovely variety of timeless neutrals. This fabric has seriously good credentials! (Pictured: Eco Textured, colour Dune).

4. Wool Felt 

With it being the height of winter right now it seems appropriate to include a wool. At Wink we feature two types of wool - felt and basket weave, and both are great options depending on your preference for a smooth or textured surface.

This selected fabric is a fabulous deep sage green and it is offered in this colourway in both the felt and weave options. We think it makes for a wonderfully strong and grounding bedhead to anchor your bedroom scheme. (Pictured: Wool Felt, colour Martini).

5. Houndstooth 

This very handsome houndstooth is a classic that has spanned generations of love, and for a good reason - it is seriously stylish. It's been played with in terms of proportions and colours, but this option is classic and here to stay. We think it would look great in a bedhead with the above felted wool as piping and/or a border. (Pictured: Houndstooth, colour Foliage)
